Fics like The Weight of Control

Amidst the blood-soaked battlefields of the Sunshot Campaign, Lan Wangji is haunted by relentless, terrifying dreams of Wei Wuxian dying, stripped of his golden core and drowning in his own dark power. Pushed to the breaking point by Wei Wuxian’s reckless self-destruction and stubborn deflections, Lan Wangji stops asking for permission. He stops standing behind the line Wei Wuxian drew. Discovering a dormant, unyielding dominance within himself, Lan Wangji makes a choice: the only way to tether the Yiling Patriarch to the mortal realm is to bind him completely. He will tear away Wei Wuxian's destructive autonomy and command his survival, even if it means crossing every moral boundary Gusu Lan ever taught him. And Wei Wuxian, secretly coreless, exhausted, and desperately fighting a losing battle for control, finds himself cornered by a terrifyingly authoritative Hanguang-jun. He expects to fight it. He doesn't expect the overwhelming, intoxicating relief that comes with finally dropping to his knees and surrendering the heavy crown of control. Or: Lan Wangji embraces his Dom nature to forcefully save a dying Yiling Patriarch, and Wei Wuxian discovers the profound peace of giving in.
