Fics like Thawing the Abattoir

abattoir / noun / : a place where animals are butchered: slaughterhouse thawing / verb / : to become free of the effect (such as stiffness, numbness, or hardness) of cold as a result of exposure to warmth : to abandon aloofness, reserve, or hostility : to become mobile, active, or susceptible to change Normal, combat-avoidant cold chain warehouse worker Sylvian Auclair wakes up inside Teyvat. The catch? She’s a Fatui Cryo Cicin Mage, a universally detested elite mob stationed in the literal slaughterhouse of civil-war Inazuma. Deserting the Fatui is a death sentence, but staying means being farmed for upgrade materials. Armed with real-world cold-storage logistics and sketchy game meta-knowledge, Sylvian decides her only option is to manually ice-bridge across an entire ocean to Liyue—all while dodging the Raiden Shogun’s automated lightning barrier and dealing with a trio of surprisingly sentient bugs. T'L;DR: An SI Cryo Cicin Mage takes one look at her spawn point and decides to manually ice-bridge out of Inazuma. Surviving a god is just standard corporate overtime.
