Fics like Don't Cut It Off

When a mission goes sideways and leaves Batman with a severe compound fracture, Superman flies him back to the Watchtower in a panic. Half-delirious from high-grade Wayne-Tech painkillers, Bruce begs Clark not to cut "it" off. Clark thinks Bruce is talking about his leg. Bruce is actually talking about his multi-million-dollar, custom-engineered, seamless Bat-suit. What follows is an eight-second laser-vision disaster, a terrifyingly high-pitched "Nothing!" from the Man of Steel, and the ultimate realization that the World's Greatest Detective cares a lot more about his hard work than a broken bone. Bruce is going to murder him—if the painkillers don't knock him out first.
