If you told ten-year-old Natalie Scatorccio that she’d end up being best friends to the point of regular hangouts with Laura Lee and Lottie fucking Matthews, she’d laugh in your face. No, seriously. The Jehovah’s Witness? The prissy, rich, stuck-up, filthy fucking rich girl? If you told ten-year-old Natalie Scatorccio that she’d end up being best friends with Van Palmer, she’d probably look at you funny. Not because she can’t see that happening, but because that is her best friend, and you should probably go talk to five-year-old Natalie Scatorccio instead. If you told ten-year-old Natalie Scatorccio that she'd end up having a big, fat, lesbian crush on, once again, Lottie fucking Matthews, and that she'd have to either get over her or get with her in two months, she'd probably pass away on the spot. or: it’s the summer before college. nat and lottie refuse to talk or think about their evident feelings for one another, van thinks she might explode, and laura lee is probably a lesbian, but she has to be a counselor at bible camp so she doesn't really care about that right now.
