Fics like i keep my distance (but you still catch my eye)

Nat opens her mouth to say something along the lines of 'bye' but Misty beats her to it by speaking again. "So….it's been a while." Fuck. This is why she always makes moves to avoid Misty as much as possible. To prevent something like this from happening. Nat forces herself to look at her, praying that it won't give her unwanted flashbacks of a fourteen year old Misty, eyes shiny with tears, as Nat told her that being her friend had become too exhausting. Nat and Misty were best friends as children until a single bad fight broke them apart. Four years later, Jackie assigns Nat as Misty’s Secret Santa.
