Fics like Blueberry Biscuits & Purple Irises

After the events of Sofia the First’s Flying Derby, Sofia becomes sick from overworking herself during training. When Prince Hugo notices she is missing from school and the stables, he learns from Prince James that Sofia is at home recovering from exhaustion. Worried about her, Hugo decides to visit her at Enchancia Castle, bringing blueberry biscuits and purple iris flowers after getting advice from Princess Amber. At the castle, Hugo finds Sofia resting in bed with a fever. The visit quickly turns soft and comforting as they talk, joke around, and reflect on the Flying Derby. Hugo admits the flowers reminded him of Sofia because they are “small but tougher than people think,” making Sofia flustered. Meanwhile, Clover acts protectively toward Sofia and clearly disapproves of Hugo encouraging her intense training schedule. Throughout the visit, Hugo realizes just how much he missed Sofia, while Sofia feels happier and less miserable simply because he came to see her.
