Fics like Five Times the Team Saved Jane’s Ass at the Perfect Moment, And One Time They Nearly Didn’t

Patrick Jane has always treated danger like an interesting puzzle with poor manners. Unfortunately for him, the CBI team has started taking that personally. It would almost be funny, if it did not reveal something much more frightening underneath. Patrick Jane has become family. Not neatly. Not easily. Not as a replacement for what he lost. But truly, stubbornly, impossibly. He is in their bullpen, their routines, their arguments, their late nights, their worry, and their home. So when everything finally goes up in flames, the team is forced to face the truth they have been circling all along. If Patrick Jane dies, he will not leave behind emptiness. He will leave behind grief.
