Fics like Your Little White Lies

His right eye cracked open first, groaning at the sunlight pouring through the bare window. The left followed, pulling a figure into focus – a woman standing at his bedside, haloed in gold like the sun itself had chosen her. An incandescent spotlight. Dark hair spilling loose, long and wavy. Fine-boned features with a hint of elfin, like she belonged half to this world and half to a storybook. A bowed mouth shaped like it had secrets worth keeping, and wide doe eyes men braver than him might gladly fight and die for. “Mister Jane?” Awfully formal even for a one night stand. “Did we… sleep together?” “What? No!” Her indignation hitched sharp, umbrage written plain enough that even through the fog in his head, he felt the sting. OR the one where Jane needs a bodyguard. (with loosely borrowed parts from The Bodyguard movie)
