Fics like Rusted Knight Requiem
You can take the Knight out of the Ever After, but not the Ever After out of the Knight. The flesh is fixed, renewed, but the mind remembers. Being older, more worn, practiced, but alone. Now in the hot sands of Vacou, will the knight shake off the rust, or be subsumed by it under the scorching rays of the hot desert sun?
