When Jaune was four years old, his family went on a trip to Mistral where they met the Branwen Tribe and everyone except Jaune perished. He then spent two weeks hiding in the wilderness before Qrow found him while on the hunt for his sister, eventually taking it upon himself to become Jaune's guardian. But the truth of who was responsible for the death of Jaune's family couldn't stay hidden forever and when he finally learns about Raven Branwen, Jaune makes his way to the only place he believes he can find answers. The only place where he can gain the skills and the means to track down the Branwen Tribe's leader and finally put the past to rest, one way or another. Jaune heads to Beacon Academy.
