Fics like How Den and Dart Came to Sodor

Long before he arrived on Sodor, Dart worked in the yards on the mainland. Being assigned there wasn't especially fun. The other diesels were a lot bigger than him and not the nicest engines around. But there's one diesel engine there who the others don't seem to like at all. The one they have chosen to nickname 'Dimwit'. A BIG diesel by the name of Den. In no time at all, however, Dart finds that Den isn't as 'slow' as the other diesels seem to think. Quite the opposite. He's actually very insightful, just really shy and very bad with words. All that big diesel needs is someone who understands him. And just like that, begins a friendship that would never be separated. OR, I ended up falling in love (platonically) with Den and Dart while making a YouTube video, so you get an origin story.
