Fics like Buying Love is Easy; Keeping It is Hard

Popstar, Ariana Grande, is in a relationship with fellow popstar - Eddie Sutton. When the two lovers get papped leaving a nightclub together, rumors start to swirl about their secret relationship. Concerned that his popularity is going to take a hit, Eddie tells Ariana to fix it. Ariana does so by telling the media that Eddie isn't the person she's in a relationship with. In fact, they're focusing on the wrong person. She "comes out" by telling them that she's, instead, in a relationship with the other woman that can be seen in the photos. The woman in the photos is Cynthia Erivo, Off-Broadway actor by day and exotic dancer by night. When she gets propositioned by Ariana to pretend to date her to take the heat off of Eddie, Cynthia's life gets changed for the better, for the worse...and for all time.
