Fics like Bats in the Attic

Where he came from or what his motives were weren't immediately clear. He and the other Kryptonians attacked out of nowhere. At first, Bruce suspected some sort of mind control. But when Kal-El swatted Bruce's green kryptonite out of his hand like it was a child's toy, laughing and unaffected, he knew it was something deeper than that. But his contingencies failed, one after another. Bruce failed. Kal-El brought him, beaten half to death, here. Locked him in this lonely cell… and nursed him back to health. Almost tenderly. He's healed now, but no more able to escape then when he was to injured too move. He tells himself he's biding his time, waiting for an opportunity to escape. To fight back. For Kal-El to make a mistake that he can use. In the meantime, Kal-El comes to him every night.
