Fics like and the show must go on!

When Ilya woke up, he was expecting to see his husband’s face- the morning light shining through the windows and hitting the features of his beloved just right as if caressing him as Ilya would. He thought he would hear some pattering downstairs, courtesy of Anya waking up and stretching about while she waited for her Papa to wake up and walk her. Ilya was also expecting to be a little sore from his and Shane’s activities last night as they celebrated their final game before the mandatory Christmas break. What Ilya woke up to was none of the above. [Or, a watching-the-show fic, where the characters of Heated Rivalry react to the First Husbands of Hockey and their love story.]
