Fics like The Way of Harmonizing Energy

Captain Archer lost his best friend Trip, and his only Vulcan friend T'Pol. Vulcan High Command is suspicious that Archer will upset their careful network of political coalitions. Soval struggles in the quagmire of politics. And a young Vulcan officer assigned to the Enterprise finds himself in the middle of a political and social revolution that might change everything. An AU of the fic "Divergent Paths" by Rigel_Kent, following a young Selden (from the novel "Sarek") aboard the Enterprise starting at AU end of Season 2, and a different take on Trip & T'Pol's exit from Ekos. You don't absolutely have to read that story first to understand this one. Politics, Vulcans, how the Federation was formed. Retellings of episodes to make them better. Vulcans being Vulcans.
