Fics like Nightly Routine

Robby reaches out and grabs. Moving and manhandling Whitaker by his shoulders to where he wanted him, to his left, so that Robby has space to pass to his right. He locks eyes with the younger man as he gives his shoulders a light squeeze on instinct, used to touching a much tougher Jack Abbot on the regular. Whitaker stays put where Robby moves him, staring up at him like he might just stay here all day if Robby wanted him to. And damnit the words slip out before he can stop them. “Good boy.” Robby says gruffly, Whitaker’s only visible reaction being his bottom lip parting slightly, eyes blinking up at him, cheeks flushed a pretty pink hue. Robby drops his hands and gives Whitaker one last look before walking past him, running his hand over his face, and mentally cursing himself. Not stopping to check and see whether or not the med student had left the spot he put him in. ------- Or in other words, the one where Whitaker and Robby can't help but gravitate towards each other and Jack is just along for the ride. Season 1 told through the lens of HuckleRabbot.
