Fics like Can I Hit It Right There? (You Know I’ll Treat You Right)

Mikhail and Ilia spend most of the year separated by continents, varying time zones and relentless demands. They are competitors on the ice, friends to the world and those closest, and more only to each other. Constant texts, phone calls, and clumsy chaste moments at a competition when they can get away from any prying eyes can hardly suffice. That is why they wait with bated breath for these moments, the rare times where they can be alone and let months of distance and restraint bleed into sheer recklessness. No time is better than after Worlds, with the season over. There's no reason to hold back; they can forget about restraint in its entirety, cave to desire and be unabashed and in love together.
