Fics like The Memory of a Dream Suddenly Glinting

"she had the answers inside her—they hid around corners. Like the memory of a dream suddenly glinting, then tucking itself away again." – Gregory Maguire, The Brides of Maracoor After Fiyero sacrifices himself, Elphaba races to Kiamo Ko to save his life. Overwhelmed and convinced she failed, she suffers a mental breakdown, entering a state of catatonia. When the Witch Hunters arrive at the castle, the person they find is nothing like the witch they expect. Now the unlikely companions must work together to figure out how to bring Elphaba back to them – and herself – before someone else figures out where they’re hiding. Also Dorothy needs to get home.
