Fics like The Fall Of The War Gods

It starts with a pact, a pact made out of desperation. Ares had humbly accepted his defeat on the battlefield and did not wish to punish the mortal Diomedes. Zeus was not happy with this striking him as punishment. These strikes were not like the strikes he'd been given in the past. It was life threatening. Ares could feel his father's rage and powers getting stronger everyday. So fearing for his life he begs Athena to make a pact that if one of them dies they will have to fuse into one god in order to stop the mortal realm from falling into chaos. Unluckily for Ares he was worried about the wrong god. In God Games Zeus strikes Athena killing her. In the ashes of her sacrifice a new War God Must Rise. Areia Successor Of Ares and Athena
