Fics like kissing the ground (of your sanctuary)

For the record, Ajax was not at all opposed to being sent on missions as another Harbinger's backup. As long as he was given things to fight and the rest of the tasks were not excruciatingly boring to get through, Tartaglia would comply without issues. The actual mission, the actual tasks, the actual experience of being the backup was not the issue here. The issue was- ...He was the only Harbinger being tasked with things like these. The only Harbinger being designated as backup. The only Harbinger being treated like a class below the rest. (Because Tartaglia was rash and reckless and could not be trusted to keep himself safe. Tartaglia was to be looked after like an unpredictable rabid animal that only behaved under certain conditions. Tartaglia was off.) --- Or, Childe struggles to understand why the Tsaritsa insists on treating him differently from the other Harbingers, and tries to pretend like his affiliations aren't irrevocably shifting towards the mysterious god he meets in Liyue.
