Fics like The Old Man and His Pet Menace

“That is a fox,” Barbatos points out rather uselessly the moment he steps foot inside Zhongli’s luxurious home. “You have a fox.” Zhongli looks down at the adorable but wriggly (and hissy) mass of orange fur in his arms that he’s been trying to calm for the past hour. “Indeed. I have a fox.” “Why do you have a fox?” The fox tries to twist out of his grasp with an angry snap of its little jaw. Zhongli merely tightens his hold and ignores its very cute yips of protest. “I found him wandering the streets of Liyue Harbour, lost. I thought it prudent to bring him home in case he got hurt.” -- Zhongli, the old and jaded Geo Archon of Liyue, finds an unexpected companion in the form of a feisty fox spirit who so happens to be one of the Tsaritsa's youngest lieutenants in disguise. (Cozy slice-of-life fic!)
