Fics like Praise the fool

Scott has been drafted to fight in the war between the red and blue kingdoms, forced to leave his father in barrowhill to work as a mage for blue kingdom or risk actions being taken against his father and himself. He doesn’t truly understand why the two kingdoms are at war or seem to hate eachother, despite being a mage for the blue kingdom (though he doesn’t see himself as much of a good one) the red kingdom members have been very kind to him. But ever since he had mentioned to Princess Cherri that he was forced to join blue kingdom and the war, neither kingdom seem very willing to let him leave their walls. How odd. (Title is from the song “the fool” by Alexandria, which I listened to while writing the first chapter!)
