Fics like Journey to the, Wait, Who Are You?

MK, also known as the Monkey Kid, was totally in his element! He means what could be better than training with his super amazing totally awesome mentor, the Monkey King, while being cheered on by his bestest friend in the world Mei! He’s having fun and totally not avoiding any topics of conversation, at all, no siree. He’s fine, totally and utterly fine, stop asking. Right now, he’s in the middle of an amazing speech about his soon to be victory in catch the monkey. Which was so rudely interrupted by a loud scream, reverberating from the beaches of Flower Fruit Mountain. Hmm, well that was odd and mildly concerning… The trio collectively decided the most responsible thing was to check it out. After all, someone might be in need of help. Besides, it probably wouldn't be anything significant… Right? It could be a lot of things, it doesn't have to be a bad thing every time. But the one thing he surely didn't expect it to be—and doubted anyone else did either—was some random teen cloaked almost entirely in green, face down in the sand, looking half dead.
