Fics like it is easier to kill someone if you're standing beside them rather than against them

12th century England was a dark time of brutal violence and chaos. Margaret “Peggy” Bartholomew, the earl of Shiring’s only daughter, was the jewel of the English. Her last name tied her to empress Maud’s side of the civil war. Against them, the constable’s granddaughter, Dorothea “Dottie” de Mandeville, a proclaimed confessor at the tower of London, was a prominent leader for Stephen of Blois’s army. Each of them took an oath to put their leader on the throne of England. They didn’t know that the cost of those oaths would put the presumably rivals together. The war went on. This is a story of how they met, betrayed each other, kissed and killed for one another, though not in that particular order. or a medieval rewriting of Peggy Carter and Dottie Underwood’s quest for justice and honour, inspired by WHAT IF Kahlan Amnell (Legend of the Seeker, 2008) joined Aliena of Shiring (Pillars of the Earth, 2010). --- New updates with Chapters 7 to 13 (the ENDING is OUT).
