Fics like The Law Student’s Transmigration: the Way of the Law

This is an original work. No characters are intended to resemble real people, except Sect Leader Ma. A law student is hit by a truck, and ends up transmigrated into a Taoist Sect. She discovers that the way of justice (道) is more complex than she thought. Have these people never heard of due process? And why did she not do her contract law reading more thoroughly? [Dedicated to my Spirit Animal.] [Edited to add: okay this was not supposed to be a romance, it was supposed to be about a martial arts competition, involving the prize of a roast duck made out of jade (don’t ask). I’d made up a name, I’d made up a venue. It may have been intended to riff off my legal debating experiences. Would the characters do what I wanted? No, they would not. So, okay. Fine then, let’s have this their way.] [Further edited to add: The characters have now let me put in the martial arts competition which was supposed to be the point of this. Calloo Callay! Frabjuous Day!]
