Fics like luck and misfortune

Scott knows he’s a lucky guy. Between the scholarship — yes, even though he’s well-aware getting said scholarship was very much a result of him being an orphan— and finding Kip and finding a family that consists of his lovely husband, father-in-law, assorted former teammates, the spouses of those teammates, and now the children of those teammates, Scott knows he’s lucky. He thinks about how lucky he is all the time. He was the first person to hold Jacob Vaughn other than Carter and Gloria. He and Kip are Jacob’s godfathers, and Scott definitely didn’t cry when Carter asked them if they would be his godfathers, thank you very much. And now Jacob is 12.
