Fics like my baby's got a billboard heart

Every queer person Kip had ever known, including himself, had their own funny-not-funny version of this story. Had made themselves the punchline of this joke. You met someone, the chemistry was electric, you were making a breathless, out of the blue connection, and then the guy you'd been quietly planning the rest of your life with smiled and hit you with: "Wow, you know who else loves Wong Kar-wai movies? My wife!" Good to know! And all you could do was go home and scream into a pillow and maybe laugh about it someday. Eventually. Scott Hunter didn't have a wife, though.
