Fics like death snail

Gertrude didn't mind the cold nearly as much as Tommy did, carving out her own little path in the deep, deep snow of the arctic as he guided them. He was going to do the polite thing, keep her pace and let her keep up, but it was fucking cold, and while snails were slow, she seemed to always figure out some sort of way to catch up. He wasn't really sure how. Back when he used to stay here, Tommy had never understood what Techno meant when he said that the sun was worse than clouds in the cold. It made a lot more sense, now. Light gave no warmth compared to the piercing chill around him, making him shiver all over and just hope that this trip stayed a short one. or: Tommy is tormented by an immortal death snail
