Fics like two is enough

"Knight Skywalker, do you have a best friend?" the boy asks. Obi-Wan, he's about to say, but he stops himself in a panic. How can he call the man he's in love with his best friend, when Jedi aren't supposed to have best friends to begin with? He has to set a good example for these younglings. He has to show Obi-Wan that he's taking his duties seriously, despite his earlier reluctance, and he has to show him that he's a good Jedi. Jedi don't have best friends, so Anakin doesn't, either. After a disastrous visit to the creche, Anakin accidentally finds himself best friends with everyone in the galaxy. Everyone, that is, but Obi-Wan.
