Fics like when your legs don't work like they used to before

Fifteen-year-old Ponyboy Curtis had the polio virus when he was three. He lived, and the only way it altered his life afterward was by the leg braces he's had to wear ever since. But when he starts getting unusual pains and weakness that he hasn't felt since those harrowing weeks as a toddler, the Curtis brothers have to navigate a new, terrifying syndrome that even the doctors can't properly define. OR Ponyboy gets post-polio syndrome.
