Fics like Nothing without the suit

Tony said if he was nothing without the suit, he shouldn’t have it. Peter didn't realize how quickly the world would prove him right. In the quiet, golden twilight of a Queens evening, the suit is gone, and the protection of Iron Man is a thousand miles away. When HYDRA—who has been lurking in the shadows of Peter’s life for months—finally strikes, they don't just take his freedom. They killed May. Stripped of his tech and bleeding out in an alleyway, Peter Parker is no longer a hero. He is a high-priority biological asset. And by the time Tony Stark realizes his "tough love" left the gate wide open for monsters. OR This takes place right after the ferry incident in Homecoming, but with a much darker twist. What if HYDRA never really left? What if they were just waiting for Peter to be vulnerable? Hope you enjoy the angst!!
