Fics like Software Update

It's the day after the "Escape the Circus Adventure", and the crew has already found themselves in a brand new out-of-house journey. Caine did them the favor of warping them there while they slept, and they’re about as pleased to see him as one would expect. But, just as they begin to tell him how they really feel, he vanishes right before their eyes. It seems like the usual antics of reaching the goal and returning to the circus from there, but the script gets flipped when they enter an entirely new adventure before they can finish the first. Without any word from or instructions left by Caine, it becomes up to them to figure out how to return to their digital home. What's more, as each day passes, the assets that make up the simulation begin to render in a bit more realistically. Or: Pomni and Jax finally figure out how they fit into each other’s lives.
