Konoha was days away, and Kakashi-sensei… He didn’t have days. This injury was so far beyond her capabilities it wasn’t funny. She was just a genin. They all were. The first-aid in the academy had prepared them for scrapes, for minor wounds that needed bandages and ointment, for broken bones and sprained ankles. Not this. Not injuries that could kill you. And here they were, on their first mission, all alone in the woods, far from home and any help that might come— No. There was no help coming. --- They should have turned back after the Demon Brothers ambushed them. They should have run when Kakashi told them to, when Momochi Zabuza stepped out of the mist. But they didn't, and now Team 7 was injured, tired, and alone, Kakashi-sensei so badly wounded they weren't sure he'd live through the night. Meanwhile, Senju Tobirama thought he understood time-space seals enough to experiment with them on his own. Waking up disoriented in an unfamiliar cave, more injured than he'd been since the founding of Konoha obviously proved him wrong. Touka and Mito would have never let him hear the end of it--if Tobirama hadn't managed to transport himself 70 years into the future, that is.
