Papyrus was a monster larger than life. He grinned brightly and wore the goofiest mismatched clothes as he helped little old ladies across the street. He was also loud. He screamed and stomped, and he scolded his brother in a way that shook their whole house. He towered over you by at least two heads, and if he hit you, there'd be no makeup in the world that could cover that bruise. So… you dodged him, just like you dodged everything nowadays. You were more than happy to avoid your neighbors. Until you saw the dog. Maybe there was one neighbor you didn't want to avoid. — "MY. DOG. YES, UM, MY DOGGY FRIEND NAMED BUDDY IS AT FAULT FOR THE HOLE IN YOUR FENCE! AND WHAT KIND OF …OWNER WOULD I BE IF I DIDN’T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS DOGGY CRIMES? CRIMES THAT ARE TOTALLY UNRELATED TO ME, BY THE WAY, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HE IS MY DOG." — Aka the fic in which Gaster blaster!Papyrus pretends to be his own dog to obtain pets from the cute neighbor lady because she is, inexplicably, less terrified of the giant bone dragon than she is of the clumsy two-legged skeleton.
