Fics like Watson Ships It

It is 1952. Holmes and Watson have retired to a cottage near the sea. Watson still adores reading naval adventure stories, and in his head he invents scenes that could not possibly be published. Holmes sees how enamoured Watson is of this fictional seafaring world, and tries to bring a little of the same romance into their lives. Or: Watson ships Hornblower/Bush and Holmes is happy to play along.
