Fics like Brother's Care

One of the civilians got caught in the middle. Sonic rushed towards them, full of panic, and shouted at them to move. Unfortunately, he wasn't fast enough as the gun whined loudly, the laser pointed right at them. In the corner of his vision, a ball of golden fluff flew straight into the civilian, pushing them away, right as the gunshot. His sneakers dug into the grass as he skidded to a stop. Everything went quiet. Shadow teleported to his side, both of them staring uselessly as smoke erupted from the spot that was shot. When the cloud of smoke cleared, all they could see was a big crater that embedded itself into the battleground. Sonic slowly inched forward, ears perked at the sound of soft sniffling. He reached the edge and felt his jaw drop. In the middle of the crater was a tiny, fluffy Tails. Or: Sonic and Shadow struggle to take care of toddler-Tails while Eggman is busy fixing the machine that started this whole mess.
