Fics like She Who Stands, Still

Kassandra has walked the world for over a millennium, an immortal warrior moving through history’s shadows. When visions pull her across deserts and seas, she follows a thread to a new immortal awakening—a young woman named Eivor, confused and raw, her grief consuming. Across sandstorms and pirate-haunted waters, Kassandra becomes both guide and guardian, teaching Eivor to survive her own endlessness. They walk together through danger and wonder, their bond forged in shared suffering and the unspoken knowledge that death can touch them—but never claim them. In a world bending with war, superstition, and shifting empires, Kassandra must navigate fragile threads of trust and awe, the fierce intensity of human connection, and the quiet, unyielding pull of immortality. Through storms, blood, and fire, the two women discover what it means to live fully, even when time will never let them rest.
