Fics like The Weight of Command

In the shadowed, steam-powered city of New Londinium, Colonel Paige Clarke commands her battalion with unyielding discipline, but behind closed doors, she surrenders to a forbidden, electrifying bond with the rebellious Lieutenant Bones Greaves. Their relationship is a tempest—equal parts fierce desire and clashing wills—where dominance and vulnerability are exchanged as passionately as command and obedience. As war rages outside, Paige and Bones confront not only the brutality of battle but the raw intensity of their own connection. From clandestine nights of submission and power play to the blood-soaked chaos of the city's last stand, their devotion is tested by duty, pride, and the looming threat of loss. Together, they lead their battalion through heartbreak and triumph, forging hope in the ruins of conflict and discovering a love both perilous and profound.
