Fics like waiting in the wings for you

The Chicago Ballet Company is proud to present its casting for their 25th anniversary of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. - "I know you're leaving the company, but must you do it in the most destructive way?" Eddie blows the smoke from his cigarette to mingle with her own icy breath. "You think I'm leaving?" Chrissy hugs her arms around her chest for mock warmth, "Aren't you?" Eddie chuckles, "It's not like there's anything keeping me here." Her lips part as if to say what about me? Ridiculously selfish for her to keep him when she knows that Eddie is far too talented for only small roles. Just because what? She’d miss him? Chrissy digs her nails further into bare skin. "Just stay until the end of the season. Please." Eddie sighs and gives her a soft smile, "If my prima wishes it.”
