“Hi, Buck,” Chris grins, his eyes sparkling mischievously behind his black framed glasses. Buck just stares at him, still not saying anything. He can’t remember when he last took a breath but oxygen was the least on his priority list when Eddie and Chris are here right now. “Hi, Buck,” Eddie echoes the greeting pulling Buck’s stare on himself. A soft smile and something so, so gentle lights up his eyes. “I think we broke him, dad,” Chris snickers, nudging Eddie with his elbow who just hums in agreement. “I – uhm, I didn’t uhm – w-what are you guys doing here?” He stammers, his eyes still wide with disbelief as he takes a much needed breath. “Heard you were in desperate need of some Christmas decorations.” Eddie crosses his arms as he raises his eyebrow, the look in his eyes far too knowing for Buck’s liking. Man, Buck has forgotten how well Eddie can read him when he’s not just three pixels on a facetime call. Or, Eddie and Chris surprise Buck for Christmas and give him everything he's ever wanted in the span of seven days.
