Fics like A Dragon's Final Flight

When a dragon nears the end of their life they fly to Vanaheim for their final resting place- but there are occasions when a dragon is no longer able to fly themselves, and exceptions can be made. One morning on New Berk an alarmed outcry rings through the village as a large dragon made entirely of stone sits opposite the Elder Haddocks' home, staring at the door in wait. It doesn't harm anybody, doesn't so much as breathe- and then Elder Hiccup Haddock emerges from the home, and the dragon becomes alert. Hiccup greets the dragon with a quiet acceptance, when the other village elders feel everything but.
