Fics like Black Ice

Sirius Black’s smirk is the first thing he notices. He’s gotten more confident since the last time they spoke, or maybe he’s a better actor than Remus gave him credit for. “Feeling alright, Lupin? You look…” Black looks him up and down, bold eyebrows quirking up on his forehead, “Unwell…” “Fine,” Remus pushes away from the wall and busies himself washing his hands. Sirius steps up to the sink next to him, watching him through the mirror. “Everyone loses,” Sirius says. “I mean… Not us, but you won’t be the only ones to lose your first preseason game.” “Fuck off,” Remus rolls his eyes and shakes water off of his hands. “Sorry,” Sirius grins. “Didn’t think you’d be so sensitive.” Or, the Heated Rivalry AU of my dreams.
