Fics like Try As I May (I'm Still Fighting For You)

When Miles Miller got discharged from hospital he was prepared to disappear, the weight of the El Royale a loadstone around his neck. But when a stranger, one Mr Straker, offers him a job he seizes the chance to become a better person. Newly settled in Salem's Lot, he works tirelessly to help his boss, the days gentle and fulfilling, until one day a famous writer enters his shop, drawing Miles out of his self imposed exile and unknowingly into the cruel underbelly of the Lot. The cross over fic no one asked for!
