Evangeline always knew that art was her true passion, feeling connected to it from a young age in Harmony, Pennsylvania. Although the small town offered safety, it also stifled her creativity. Seeking more, she moved to New York City with dreams and art supplies, where she worked hard to make her mark in the art world. In New York, she met Benjamin Mears, a brilliant and haunted author, at a gallery opening. Their connection was instant, as they both shared deep emotions and past traumas. They quickly fell in love and got married two years later, creating a life together filled with understanding and shared dreams. After seven years of marriage, they found New York's energy exhausting, with Evangeline's art stagnating and Ben facing writer's block. Ben suggested they relocate to Jerusalem's Lot, Maine for a few weeks, hoping it would spark their creativity again. They left their Brooklyn home for the quiet of rural Maine, seeking inspiration for Evangeline's art and Ben's novel. Unknown to them, Salem's Lot held deep secrets that could affect their journey, as darkness stirred to life with the setting sun, leaving their future uncertain.
