I hope these aren’t just empty threats, my dear.” Vox growled, the lights above them flickering violently as he slammed his free hand down onto the table on Alastor’s other side with a loud bang, caging him fully. “Try me,” Vox snarled, “Seven fucking years, Alastor. You’re lucky I didn’t drag you back by force.” Alastor hummed softly. “And why didn’t you?” He raised his hand, and slowly brought it up to Vox’s face. “You certainly had the means.” The moment his finger’s brushed against Vox’s cheek, a cold metallic pressure cinched around Alastor’s throat. A tight, glowing blue chain. Or Alastor accepted Vox’s proposal all those years ago, and Hell has never known peace since.
