William Lenney is a football player—one of the rising names in the league. His world is regimented, loud, structured. Training at sunrise. Film reviews. Endless drills. Reporters asking the same shallow questions. Coaches drilling discipline into his bones. Fans who cheer loud but don’t know him. And then there’s James Marriott—a coming-of-age rockstar whose life should exist in a completely different orbit. A man who lives in the chaos of sold-out shows, backstage noise, half-written lyrics scattered across hotel nightstands. Tattoos, impulses, late-night writing sessions and early-morning interviews. He’s loud when he performs, quiet when he thinks, and all contradictions in between. Their paths should not cross. Not naturally. Not logically. One survives by blending in with the team; the other thrives by standing out alone. People like them aren’t supposed to collide. They aren’t supposed to notice each other—let alone understand each other. And they definitely aren’t supposed to fall in love. I’m realizing this is sort of similar to another work 🥲 I promise I didn’t steal I got this from a TikTok edit
