“Captain Nash?” the paramedic to his left says, sounding like maybe it’s not the first time. He turns his head towards her slowly. “What’s your blood type?” That’s the thing with being in an ambulance that wasn’t his team, they didn’t know him and they didn’t have his file on hand. “O-null,” he says, slurring slightly. The paramedic tilts her head. “O-negative?” Bobby shakes his head. “O-null,” he says again, starting to get a little frustrated. He didn’t think his words were that incomprehensible. He didn’t like the way the two paramedics in the back looked at each other. Didn’t like the way his brain was really truly processing what having O-null blood meant. “Shit,” he heard one of the paramedics say. Shit. He thought. (Or Bobby has rare blood and everyone forgot what that meant, until he needed some. Buck doesn't know what blood type he is, but he's holding out hope.)
