Fics like the door's about to open (i'm about to fall for you)

“What day are you heading home for Thanksgiving?” As Clark clicked through his calendar, he tallied the days left until he could start the long drive back to Smallville. “I—” Bruce glanced at his own screen. “I’m staying here.” “You’re—here?” Bruce just nodded, and Clark realized a second too late that holidays might not be a benign topic after all. He’d assumed Bruce had someone—grandparents, cousins, even family friends—to spend his breaks with. But now that Clark thought about it, hadn’t he mentioned staying in Metropolis over the summer, too? “Come back with me, then.” *** Or: Clark Kent succumbs to the overwhelming urge to invite his new friend Bruce Wayne to join him for his family's Thanksgiving. Clark is in law school, Bruce is a reluctant MBA student, and there's no way either of them is getting out of this without a giant, slightly inconvenient crush.
