Fics like I Will Follow You Into the Dark

Unable to cope with the grief of losing his son, Bruce leaves Gotham and travels across North America, seeking distance and peace. When he arrives in Canada’s Northwest Territories, he finds the distance he was seeking, but not the peace. At least, not until he walks into the Bearcat Bar and finds the most gorgeous bartender he’s ever seen. The bartender is running from his own grief, while also searching for the answers to who he really is. For a short time, they find comfort in each other. Several years later, Bruce meets Superman and Clark Kent. Begins pre-Man of Steel, ends post-Justice League. Inspired by the scene of Clark working in a bar in MOS.
