Fics like The Grandmother Incident

"Grandmother is visiting,” Damian said suddenly, as if it were the most ordinary fact in the world. Bruce froze. The words echoed in his skull. Grandmother? Tim was next to react. “Who?” he blurted, the question half-startled, half-intrigued. Damian’s scowl deepened. “Are you deaf, Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” Bruce felt a twitch at the corner of his jaw. His mind raced. Ras has… a partner in the picture? Not that it mattered, of course—Wayne family dynamics were already… complicated. Dick crouched slightly, trying to bring himself to Damian’s level. “She—” “He,” Damian corrected, sharp as a blade. “He is coming. Not ‘she.’” Or, No one expected Damian’s grandmother to be hot enough to cause a collective Wayne family breakdown. Or for Bruce to recognize him as that Danny — the League assassin he used to have a very inconvenient crush on. [Inspired by a tumbr post.]
